Platte City Stake Youth Got Talent

We know that you are all very talented!! Thursday night we got a little taste of the talent that some of our youth have. Including a chipmunk show, a vocal serenade, 3 instrumental performances, an on the spot drawing, a crazy throw down movie, and impromptu skits about the day's service activities. Presentation of the bird houses to Habitat for Humanity:

Lunch and Swimming

After the hard work, we all had lunch in Platte City and then the youth were able to cool off with a swim!

Service Project: Door to Door

Some of the youth got to go door to door in the surrounding neighborhoods. They were able to pass out flyers about the upcoming pioneer day celebration and offer to perform services to home owners. Some were able to mow lawns, clean, etc.

Service Project: Bird Houses

One project was to make bird houses. These were donated to the local habitat for humanity. They will use them as gifts for new home owners.

Service Project: Fire Hydrants

The Platte City fire hydrants needed a little sprucing up. So part of the group went around an painted on a fresh coat!

Service Project: Home Makeover

While the Rampton's are away on their mission, there home was in need of a little service. These youth helped knock down some walls, planted trees, and helped get the set up done for some concrete that will be poured later and roses that will be plants.

Service Project: Taking down the fence

It was hard work taking down this fence!! This group went to a local park and helped remove a fence. Including cutting off barb wire, cutting off wire fencing, and digging out the old wood fence posts!
